The male character's appears to be remembering a woman who's a ballerina. Every where he looks he seems to have dillusions of her, this is not the good dillusions though because this same woman who appears to be dressed innocently and pure was the one that deceived him, broke his heart and according to Maxwell's lyrics "she played him dirty".
The song starts ending as soon as the girl feels pain as she's dancing then collapse and dissapears; this symbolizes that karma has dealt with her, marking the end of the male character's suffering and now he can finally move on, then the video and the song fade off as he starts walking next to frames symbolizing all the neat things he's about to do as he's starting over.
